PARACHINAR (Dunya News) – At least eight more victims of twin blasts in Parachinar have succumbed to their wounds, raising the death toll up to 50.
More than 180 others were injured in the blasts in Parachinar on Friday.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the dead bodies and wounded to hospital.
According to the Political Agent, the explosive device was placed on a motorcycle while another explosion took place at School Road.
The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area after the incident and imposed curfew in the Main Bazar area.
Meanwhile, a police mobile, shifting the critically injured people to Peshawar, came under miscreants attack as a result two cope got injured. They were shifted to Lady Reading hospital for treatment.
Earlier in another incident, two persons were killed and six others were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) hit a pick-up van on Kurram tribal region’s Sherko Road on Friday.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have strongly condemned the blasts.
