PM's Foreign Advisor discusses key issues with Kerry

Summary Sartaj Aziz discussed issue of drone attacks with John Kerry in today's meeting.

 

BRUNEI (Web Desk) – Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz held a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Brunei on Tuesday.

 

Both the leaders discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest. They also discussed matters pertaining to the Afghan reconciliation process and drone attacks in Pakistan.

 

Earlier today‚ Sartaj Aziz held met with Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on the sidelines of ASEAN Summit.

 

Both discussed bilateral issues and ways to further improve relations between the two countries.

 

Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan wants to build strong relationship with India. He said there is a possibility of meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in September.

 

Talks between the two were on the cards after the Sharif government was sworn-in in Pakistan.

 

Nawaz harif, during his election campaign, has made several positive statements of improving the ties with India.
