Summary Election Commission summoned Chairman NADRA today (Wednesday) to discuss the matter.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan is considering to conduct thumb impression audit of voters in all those constituencies where allegations of rigging have been made especially in Karachi and Lahore.
At a meeting‚ the commission discussed this matter with Chairman of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to finalize the mechanism in verification process.
In case of an evidence of block mismatch of thumb impressions at a polling station, the results of that polling station could be declared void.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Pakistan Institute for Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) urged the ECP and NADRA to excercise a thumb impression audit of voters to address the election rigging complaints.
