Innocent Pakistanis reach home from KSA, meet PM Gilani

The innocent Pakistanis who were detained by Saudi authorities in drug smuggling case have reached the country from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dunya News Friday reported. The released Pakistanis also met Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad. During the meeting PM Gilani said countrys reputation has been improved after innocent Pakistanis were freed, whereas, Rehman Malik termed their release as the whole nations victory. They were brought to Pakistan in a special aircraft and were welcomed by Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Senator Talha Mehmood and their relatives. Five Pakistanis were arrested under the accusations of smuggling drugs to Saudi Arabia and are released after the efforts of Pakistani and Saudi government. The families of the released Pakistanis have made full preparations to welcome their dear ones at their homes. The released Pakistanis were arrested in Saudi Arabia some four months ago under drug smuggling accusations. Talking to the media Mr. Malik said, Our objective was to bring them back by proving them innocent. Prime Minister and President of Pakistan ordered me to get the issue resolved before Eid. There arrival was delayed so that they could perform Umrah. The minister thanked the PM, President and Prince Muhammad Bin Naif. A released Pakistani Muhammad Arif thanked God for reaching homeland safe and sound.
