Summary
US Deputy Ambassador to Pakistan Gerald Festine says that Kerry-Lugar Bill contains no condition to end Pakistans economic aid, Dunya News Friday reported. Festine maintained that US aid to Pakistan is unconditioned. Dunya News Senior Anchor Nasim Zahra who was present there told that the bill didnt contain any conditions to cut down or stop Pakistans civilian financial aid. Earlier, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani had said that the Kerry-Lugar Bill did not contain any condition regarding a restriction on Pakistan's nuclear programme. The bill, however, says in future Pakistan will not be part of any outward proliferation, he told. The bill includes condition that Pakistan will make efforts against terrorism and to strengthen democracy yet these dont have any concerns with financial aid. It is being speculated that after Kerry-Lugar Bill, the image of the current government will improve in the general public.
