Summary
Britain will help to set up a national security authority in Pakistan to combat terrorism and promote political stability, the BBC has revealed. The authority will be modelled on the Home Office and MI5, it said. Britain will provide financial assistance and training for the new authoritys formation. Initially 200 experts will be employed in Pakistan who will give expert opinion on extremism and religious affairs. The report claimed that a new counter-terrorism strategy will be devised within six months and research projects will be launched. Alleged connection in the religious schools and radicalization will also be investigated. The British Home Office declined to comment on funding, but said it strongly supported the move.
