Summary
Pakistan has rubbished US claims about presence of Al-Qaeda operatives in Balochistan and reiterated that no Al-Qaeda leader including Mullah Umer was present in Quetta or any part of Balochistan. Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit, in a statement issued on Thursday, urged the United States to present concrete evidence if it had any information about Al-Qaeda leadership. The spokesman maintained that according to their information Osama Bin Laden was no longer alive. Commenting on drone strikes, he said Pakistans stance on the issue was clear that drone strikes were detrimental for war on terror.
