Summary Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that cases against journalists have been withdrawn.
Talking to journalists at Islamabad National Press Club Rehman Malik said the journalists also remain on frontline like police.The journalists have launched protests over registration of cases against the journalists in Balochistan.The interior minister announced a bounty of Rs 2.5 million for those who will help the law enforcement agencies in arresting assassins of a journalist Abdul Haq Baloch.He said conspiracies were hatched against Pakistan by targeting lawyers, journalists and important personalities.He said that a bill for protection of journalists should be moved and the media owners should come forward for this.The interior minster announced appointment of Abdul Haq’s son in FIA.
