Indian ministers are issuing contradictory statements on Mumbai attacks. Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna says Pakistan is serious in punishing Mumbai attacks perpetrators while Interior Minister Chidambaram says it is not. According to an Indian news agency, S M Krishna has refused a suggestion to monitor judicial proceedings against Mumbai attacks culprits in Pakistan saying it can not be done in a country like Pakistan. Krishna made it clear that New Delhi had no such demands from Islamabad however it was hopeful that Pakistan would try the culprits according to countrys own laws. On the other hand, Interior Minister Chidambaram passed totally opposite remarks. Talking to an Indian TV channel, he said Pakistan was not serious in acting against Mumbai attacks perpetrators. Chidambaram revealed that US did not pressurize India to negotiate with Pakistan.
