Summary
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif has called on Saudi King Abdullah in Makkah Mukarramah, Dunya News Sunday reported. PML-N leader Ishaq Dar and Sharifs son Hussain Nawaz also accompanied him. The meeting discussed bilateral relations and current political situation of Pakistan. Earlier, former president Pervez Musharraf and Interior Minster Rehman Malik have also called on Saudi King. Sources revealed that all these meetings aim at saving Musharraf from trial, however, PML-N circles are refuting any such thing. PML-N leader Ishaq Dar assured that nothing related to Musharraf came under discussion in the meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Saudi King. On the other hand, senior analyst Dr Rasool Baksh Rais told Dunya News that the meeting aimed at removing differences between Musharraf and Sharif. He believed the agreements made in the past should be upheld. Dr Rais opined these meetings were held to save Musharraf from any case but there were many others who violated the constitution and should be brought to the court. Separately, Musharrafs lawyer Fawad Chaudhary claimed that Saudi Government played its role whenever a political change came in Pakistan. Talking to Dunya News he said no case was pending in any Pakistani court against Musharraf. The Saudi Government will definitely interfere if Musharraf is harmed, Chaudhary added. Nawaz Sharif went to Saudi Arabia after striking a deal with his own consent in Musharraf regime, he concluded.
