Aitzaz urges government to register case against Musharraf

Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan said that only the government has the authority to register a case against Pervez Musharraf; Paliaments resolution and the judiciary have no legitimacy in this regard. Talking to media in Lahore, he said that judiciary became independent only three months ago, and system could not change all of a sudden. The government and judiciary should be given due time, he maintained. Aitzaz Ahsan said that courts were providing speedy justice after National Judicial Policy. He said that the President was bound to consult the PM, and the Governor was bound to consult the CM regarding the appointments of judges.
