Kaira to take oath as Governor Gilgit Baltistan on September 15

Federal Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has been appointed as first Governor of Gilgit Baltistan. He will take oath of office on September 15. Oath-taking ceremony would be held in Gilgit in which Chief Justice of Gilgit Baltistan Chief Court would take oath from Qamar Zaman Kaira. According to sources, Kairas central Governor Office would be in Gilgit, however, he would handle the matters of the Northern Areas in Islamabad Camp Office. On the other hand, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that autonomy of Gilgit Baltistan would not have an affect on the Kashmir issue.
