Summary A petition has been filed in the SC for the release of funds to end power crisis.
Petitioner Mahmood Akhter Naqvi filed a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking court’s intervention to end the electricity loadshedding. The petitioner stated that the country was facing severe power crisis and about 50,000MW electricity per year could be generated through Thar coal project.He requested the apex court to order the Finance Ministry to release funds and to start Thar coal project.
