Former federal minister Ijaz-ul-Haq believes that U.S and the then army chief of Pakistan barred the investigations into his fathers murder Zia-ul-Haq, the former president of Pakistan. Talking to Dunya News about the C130 jet crash Haq revealed that two senior U.S officers were also killed with high-level military leadership of Pakistan. Haq elaborated that according to the American rules, FBI had to reach Pakistan in next 24 hours but the U.S officials didnt let them come. The FBI team came after many months and returned after picnicking, he maintained. The investigations were hurdled in Pakistan as well and the postmortem of the dead bodies wasnt allowed, Haq added. The officers doing the investigations were transferred. According to the commission formed to probe the incident, criminal investigations of it should have been launched, he told. Haq recalled that Pilot Officer Akram Awan had revealed he brought the gas to Pakistan which paralyzed the jets crew. Awan is currently in jail, he said. According to the US secretary of State, the investigations were stopped for a fear of rebellion in institutions.
