Former president Pervez Musharraf has called on top Saudi leadership in his visit to Saudi Arabia as a royal guest. Musharraf, however, refused to talk to media or reveal any details of the meetings. Sources revealed that the meeting between the former president and King Abdullah continued for an hour. Musharraf appealed the Saudi King to get Pakistan out of troubled circumstances. The former president was accorded a warm reception while reaching at the Royal Palace. Both the leaders held a one-on-one meeting. Musharraf praised the Saudi role in eliminating the terrorism, sources informed. He maintained that the terrorists should be treated like traitors. Former president earlier had a dinner with the former federal minister Chaudhay Shahbaz Hussain. Hussain told that Musharraf had ruled out the rumors that he was looking for political refuge. On the other hand Saudi Arabia has formally informed Pakistani leadership that it wants stability in Pakistan. In this regard, Saudi Emperor Shah Abdullah has forwarded a special message to Interior Minister Rehman Malik on the name of Pakistani leadership. Sources in the Royal Family disclosed that King Abdullah cleared on Malik that clash between the two big political parties and any action against former president Pervez Musharraf would tense the situation. A talk between Saudi Emperor and Nawaz Sharif on the current situation of Pakistan is expected next week during Sharifs visit to Saudi Arabia, sources added. Former president Musharraf has called on Saudi Intelligence Chief Prince Muqrin and informed him about his stance and the campaign against him, sources told.
