Standing Committee recommends reviewing Blasphemy Law

National Assemblys Standing Committee on Human Rights has recommended the government to review the Blasphemy Law. On the other hand, RPO Faisalabad says that members of a banned organization attacked both Muslims and Christians in Gojra Incident. The Standing Committee meeting directed that strong evidences and facts should be kept in view while registering cases under Blasphemy Law. The meeting also looked into the investigations of Gojra Incident. RPO Faisalabad told the meeting that five people involved in Gojra Incident had been arrested.
