Friends of Pakistan approve Malakand Project

Friends of Pakistan session has approved the Malakand Pilot Project while Foreign Office says that Pakistan is trying that friend countries invest in Pakistan. The reports on the ongoing Pakistani projects were presented in the session which was held in Istanbul, the capital of Turkey. The member countries supported the Malakand Project and Public-Private partnership. The recommendations of the session will be presented in the New Yorks session. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi addressing the session said Pakistan needed cooperation from the friend countries in security, trade and power sectors. He demanded that the aid which was promised for Pakistan in Tokyo Donors Conference should be immediately provided. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu said that Turkey would help Pakistan in restoring the affected areas. FO spokesman Abdul Basit talking to Dunya News revealed that the session maintained working groups would be made effective through FODP frame work.
