Summary Rain reduced intensity of heat in several areas of the country during last 24 hours.
The heat intensity decreased due to rain and thunderstorm in most parts of the country including Cholistan during last 24 hours.Weather turned pleasant in most parts after rain while most parts of Balochistan remained under the grip of heat.According Met Office, rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of Punjab‚ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa‚ Northeast Balochistan‚ Upper and Central Sindh‚ Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next twenty-four hours while dust storm has also been predicted in plane areas of Sindh and Balochistan.The highest temperature of 45C was recorded in Turbat on Wednesday.The maximum temperature of some major cities was: Sibi 41C, Jacobabad 40C, Karachi 34C, Quetta 32C, Lahore 36C, Islamabad and Peshawar 37C, Gilgit 33C, Muzaffarabad 35C and Murree 23C.
