Sugar crisis, Kashmir issue and minus one formula were discussed during the National Assembly session on Thursday. The Prime Minister said Kashmir problem is a priority issue of the government while the PML-N announced in the session that sugar would be sold at Rs 45 per kg instead of Rs 50 in Punjab. Addressing the National Assembly session, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Kashmir committee was a parliamentary and independent institution that need reforms. Federal Minister Babar Awan said that political parties should not talk about minus formula; in case of minus one, all would be minus. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the government is not prepared to take any action against Pervez Musharraf; this is regrettable. He said the Punjab government was not taken into confidence over sugar price adding the sugar crisis emerged owing to hoarding and black-marketing. Earlier, PML-N staged a walk out over the issue of not taking action against Pervaiz Musharraf. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the government retreated on Kashmir issue. Democracy was disrupted due to different reasons earlier, now minus one formula will repeat the history. The National Assembly session will resume at 10.30pm today.
