Drug reaction at Mayo: lab finds injection fit for use, says powder mixed with wrong water

Three nurses have already been suspended in this case
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A drug testing lab has declared that the injection used for lung patients at Surgical Chest Ward of Mayo Hospital was fit for use, revealing the wrong process of mixing the injection before administration made the drug lethal for the patients.
A few days ago two patients died and 14 fell ill after getting injections to cure their chest infections at the hospital’s chest ward.
According to an injection culture report issued by Drug Testing Lab (DTL), a copy of the report Dunya News has obtained, the antibiotic injection, ceftriaxone, was perfectly safe and usable.
It said the injection was perfect while the wrong water was used to mix the powder.
