ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Government of Pakistan has dismissed as fake a notification circulating on social media claiming that entry to all ports across the country had been temporarily suspended.

According to a statement posted on the social media platform X by the Ministry of Information, no directive has been issued by the Cabinet Division regarding the closure or suspension of port operations. Officials clarified that the notification circulating online is fabricated and has no official basis.

The ministry further stated that reports claiming ports would remain closed until March 10, 2026 are false. Neither the Cabinet Division nor the Ministry of Maritime Affairs has taken any such decision.

Authorities urged the public to remain cautious of unverified information being spread on social media. The Ministry of Information warned that fake news is being used to create fear and panic among citizens, advising people to rely only on authentic and official sources for government updates.
