Fake news regarding closure of education institutions spreading on social media
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Fake news regarding the closure of educational institutions across the country has been spreading again on social media.
According to the details, a screenshot of fake news was shared by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on the social networking website Twitter.
It was written on the screenshot that all private and government schools in Punjab have been closed till September 30 due to the situation of coronavirus in the country. Please stay at home and stay safe. Protect yourself and your family.

In a tweet, the NCOC announced that another fake news item regarding closure of education sector. Education institutions in selected districts of Punjab, KP and ICT are closed till 15th Sep 21. Decision on Review will be communicated through official channels.
Meanwhile, provincial education minister Murad Rass announced on Twitter that all public and private schools in Punjab would reopen on September 16. From September 16, educational institutions will open with 50 per cent attendance. Please follow the government’s coronavirus SOPs.
