LAHORE (Web Desk) - Indian tennis star Sania Mirza wished her ex-husband Shoaib Malik well a day after the former cricketer announced his marriage with actor Sana Javed.
The former captain of Pakistan cricket team has tied the knot with showbiz star Sana Javed who earlier married singer Umair Jaswal.
“Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs,” the 41-year-old cricketer wrote a Quranic verse on his Instagram while also sharing the pictures of marriage with the actor on Saturday.
A day after the news of marriage went viral on media, the family of Sania Mirza also came with the response of star Indian tennis player.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Sania’s father Imran Mirza said: “Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!”
The same note was also shared by her sister Anam Mirza on Instagram.
“At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,” the note shared by Sania’s family said.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik’s separation rumours had been making headlines since November 2022. Sania had also deleted most of her recent pictures with Shoaib Malik from her Instagram.
According to some insiders, the 37-year-old tennis player took divorce from Malik following their separation in late 2022. They claimed that Sania was not happy with the former cricketer meeting other women.
The former ‘powerful couple’ had tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their son, Izhaan Mirza-Malik in 2018.

Meanwhile, Sana Javed and Umair Jaswal had tied the knot in 2020 in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family members.
