What actually transpired amidst Sajal Aly's departure from Fatima Jinnah web series

(Web Desk) - Filmmaker Danial K Afzal unveiled his ambitious project about Fatima Jinnah, the mother of the nation, a little more than a year ago. Sajal Aly, Samiya Mumtaz, and Sundas Farhan, who played the prominent political leader in the film's advertising materials, were among the cast members he was able to secure for the web series. The producers later released a 14-minute prologue in which Sajal played the lead role.

Once the aur.digital project appeared on screen, it impressed some and irritated others. In the iconic character of Fatima Jinnah: Sister | Revolutionist | Stateswoman, the Kuch Ankahi star was widely regarded as a "misfit." Sajal's acting talent and her ease in portraying the sorrow and anguish of the division on screen, however, were unquestionable, according to the series' director. Imagine the shock, therefore, when word spread that Sajal was "withdrawing" from the eagerly anticipated project.

Maria Mahesar, Sajal's manager, announced that she had departed the programme. She declared, "Sajal has left the Fatima Jinnah show. We send Danial and the show our best wishes going forward.

The makers have already found a replacement, Danial then stated. We just wanted to move on and get the programme going once we did part ways, he continued. "Instead of Sajal, we've already chosen the actor who would portray Fatima Jinnah. We'll soon be able to make a statement. The contract needs to be signed for us to be in operation.

Usman Mukhtar portrays Allama Iqbal in the television series, and Sarmad Khoosat plays Mahatma Gandhi, among other well-known people. The book "Fatima Jinnah: Sister, Revolutionist, Stateswoman" tries to shed light on her political career as well as her personal life, especially her bond with Quaid-e-Azam's wife, Ratti Jinnah.

Expectations are high for the show's historical and personal themes as the lead cast is scheduled to be revealed with the imminent release of the hauntingly gorgeous OST.
