Bollywood producers demand two-year ban on Pakistani artists

Summary Council's CEO Suresh Amin stated that said the producers' council will pass a resolution.

MUMBAI (Dunya News) – Indian Film and Television Producer Council has demanded to impose a two-year ban on Pakistani artists due to hostile relations between both states.

This all started when actor Salman and singer Arijit’s rift was back in the headlines, suggesting that the Tum Hi Ho singer was replaced by Rahat Fateh Ali to sing Ishtehaar in Welcome To New York.

Afterwards, Bollywood singer-turned-union minister Babul Supriyo said that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s voice in a song that features in Welcome To New York should be immediately replaced by any other singer.

Council’s CEO Suresh Amin stated that said the producers’ council will pass a resolution and inform Bollywood producers to stop working with Pakistani artistes for the next two years.
