Full board to decide over Verna's release today

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The full bench of censor board will hold a meeting today (Friday) to decide over the release of movie ‘Verna’ in Pakistani cinemas
The movie is all set to hit international screens today, however, it will not be released in Punjab due to delay in issuing certificate from censor board.
Director Shoaib Mansoor’s film Verna revolves around the story of a married couple who parted their ways due to some unusual situation. Lead roles in the movie have been performed by Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid.
Exclusively talking to Dunya News, Mahira Khan hoped that censor board will soon clear the film as the concept is good and everything in the movie handled carefully. We have failed to understand what censor board has found objectionable in Verna, she added.
Not only Verna but some other films including Na Maloom Afraad 2, Maalik and Inteha which were based on sensitive issues also faced strict action by the censor board.
