Government Primary School Nawan Gran, situated ahead of 60 km from Jhelum, is deprived of basic facilities even in the 21st century.At least 100 male and female students study in this school devoid of any proper building.There is neither any boundary wall nor any room for children sitting. A tent has been installed by the assistance of local people which gives shelter to students while some of them are bound to sit under the tress.Likewise, there is neither any furniture for students nor chairs for teachers. The students are bound to face the bitterness and intensity of weather. So far as the high-ups of education department are concerned, they pay no heed to education sector in far flung areas of the country.The area people demanded that proper attention should be focussed on their issues and take reasonable steps to provide them basic facilities; so that division between the haves and have nots may be diminished with the passage of time.
