Street crimes continue to claim lives of citizens
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A citizen was killed during a robbery and three suspected bandits were dead – one of them was lynched by a mob - in separate ‘encounters’ here on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
In the first incident, another citizen lost his life to street crimes when two robbers killed him during a robbery in Orangi Town.
The deceased was identified as Gulzar Ahmad. Two robbers on a bike snatched valuables from Gulzar Ahmad and his colleague Mavia.
When the robbers were escaping after the snatch, they started their chase. The fleeing outlaws opened fire on them.
As a result of their firing, Gulzar was killed on the spot whereas Mavia received injuries and was admitted to hospital.
In Defence Phase-7, two suspected robbers were killed in an encounter with police. They were identified Zulfiqar and Piaro. Arms, a bike and plundered valuables were seized from them.
In Sarjani Town, a suspected robber was lynched by a mob when he was caught hold by the citizens during a robbery.
In Liaquatabad, a bandit was arrested after an encounter with police. The outlaw was injured in the shootout and later arrested.
