CTD arrests 12 terror suspects in operations across Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) - A team of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested 12 terrorists in operations across Punjab.
According to CTD officials, intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were conducted in Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala. The arrested terrorists belonged to the outlawed Daesh and TTP.
CTD officials said the terror suspects included Mir Ahmed, Habibur Rehman, Haroon, Zia, Imran, Mudassar, Adeel and Farooq, adding that explosive material, suicide jackets, detonator, hand grenade, arms and cash had been recovered from them.
The officials further said cases had been registered against them and investigation was under way. They said 40 suspects were arrested in 249 combing operations this week.
