KARACHI: Eight individuals engaged in hawala hundi worth hundreds of thousands of rupees have been detained by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Lists of those participating in ‘hawala hundi’ have also been obtained from the accused in FIA custody, according to FIA authorities, and the accused have also had a variety of domestic and international currency worth millions of rupees that was also recovered from them.
FIA reports that charges have been filed against the people who were arrested and more investigation is under progress.
