Lahore: Woman held captive by brother for four years rescued
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lahore Police rescued a 32-year-old woman who was held captive in a house by her brother for four years.
According to sources, a neighbor reported to police on Emergency 15 that a girl was under house arrest in Valencia Town, after the girl called her neighbor from window of the room.
Police rushed to the spot and rescued the woman from her brother s captivity who had locked her over property issue. Kahna police arrested the accused and registered a case on the complaint of the victim girl Huma.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Model Town Dost Mohammad, Huma’s brother had married her against her wishes and was not allowing her to go to her in-laws.
Accused Faraz said that his sister was mentally disabled so he locked her in the house while, SP Model Town said that the woman was not mentally disabled and her brother was lying.
