Lahore: Man commits suicide after killing two mentally ill daughters
The man stabbed his daughters to death while they were asleep.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A man, identified as Zia Butt, in Lahore’s Rajgarh area allegedly committed suicide after stabbing his two mentally ill daughters, 34-year-old Sadia and 30-year-old Aqsa, to death.
The tragic incident occurred early morning on Wednesday. Zia was shifted to hospital in injured condition but he could not survive either. Police collected evidences from the crime scene and moved the dead bodies to mortuary.
The nearby residents told that Zia, who had been looking after his daughters after his wife’s death, murdered them while they were asleep. He owned the house where he was residing and did business of carpets.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and summoned report from Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar.
