Karachi: Gang involved in snatching containers full of goods arrested
KARACHI (Dunya News) - A gang involved in snatching containers full of goods from Super Highway has been arrested. Weapons and a truck used in the criminal activities were also recovered from the accused.
Police acting on a tip-off near Gadap area of Karachi has arrested six armed suspects. A group of arrested accused was ready to ambush to snatch the container. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the accused and a truck used in the activities was also seized.
The accused include Ashiq, Sagar, Tariq, Junaid, Talib and Azhar Naveed. The accused confessed to snatching a container full of goods in Jamshoro last month. The accused had tied the driver and conductor and fled after leaving them in the bushes.
In December, the suspects snatched five containers full of goods.
