KARACHI (Dunya News) – A man who was shot dead among a five-member gang in an alleged police encounter in Karachi’s Clifton area on Friday has turned out to be driver of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) local leader Laila Parveen.

Laila Parveen, deputy secretary of women’s wing, said her driver Abbas had been working with her for five years and the house also belongs to her where an incident of robbery has been reported.

The PTI leader further claimed that the car which was shown under possession of the robbers is owned by her husband, making the whole matter suspicious.

Following the development, Karachi Police have decided to contact Laila Parveen for further investigations. The police have maintained that the five suspects who were killed in the encounter were involved in over twenty criminal activities.
