MOUNT MAUNGANUI (Dunya News) – New Zealand have outshined Pakistan by 115 runs in the fourth T20 played here on Sunday.

Pakistan was bowled out for 105 runs in response to New Zealand's 220 runs. New Zealand have clinched T20 series 3-1 with the last dead-rubber to be played on Wednesday in Sky Stadium Wellington, New Zealand.

Abdul Samad was the top scorer for Pakistan with 44 runs of 30 deliveries. Ifran Niazi and Abdul Samad were the only two Pakistan batters to enter into the double figures.

For New Zealand Jacob Duffy claimed four wickets, Zakary Foulkes three, while Will O'Rourke, Ish Sodhi, and James Neesham claimed one wicket each.

Mohammad Haris was the first one to fall after scoring just 2 runs, followed by last match's centurion, Hassan Nawaz, after scoring 1 run. Skipper Salman Agha also was not able to resist and walked back to pavilion after scoring 1 run.

Shadab Khan's poor run continued as he, after giving away wicketless 49 runs in four overs, got his stumps bamboozled after scoring just 1 run.

Irfan Niazi, who was already living dangerously as James Neesham dropped him on 11 of Will O'Rourke's bowling, managed to score 24. Khushdil Shah was the latest to depart after scoring six runs.

New Zealand set a mammoth target of 221 for Pakistan after Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first in the the fourth T20 international between Pakistan and New Zealand today (Sunday) in Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui.

New Zealand batters played short cameos to stretch the target to 220 for six. Finn Allen with 50 of 20 balls was the highest scorer while, Micheal Bracewell 46 (26), Tim Siefert 44 (22), Daryl Mitchell 29 (23), and Mark Chapman 24 (16) chipped in with crucial quick runs.

Once again Haris Rauf shone with ball claiming three wickets for 27 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi dropped a catch of Rauf's bowling in the 19th over.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan were yet again on the expensive side as they went wicketless leaking 49 runs each in their four overs.

Abarar Ahmad figured two for 41 while Abbas Afridi claimed one for 38 runs.

Skipper Salman Ali Agha decided to field the same playing Xi from the third T20I, while Will O'Rourke and Zak Foulkes will replace Kyle Jamieson and Bean Sears for New Zealand.

The average first-innings score at the Bay Oval since 2020 is 176. Teams batting first have won four out of the last five completed matches at the venue. Though it may remain a bit cloudy, no weather interruption is expected on Sunday.

Since 2020, New Zealand and Pakistan have played each other in 26 T20Is. That is the most either team has played against any opponent in this period.

The Pakistan squad arrived in Mount Maunganui from Auckland on Saturday. The match will begin at 11:15 AM Pakistan time.
