Hasan Nawaz overtakes Babar Azam with fastest T20I century

AUCKLAND (Dunya News) – Cricketer Hasan Nawaz on Friday broke record of former skipper Babar Azam by smacking a fastest century for Pakistan in the third T20I match against New Zealand.
The right-handed batsman completed his splendid ton in 44 balls as he made an unbeaten 105 runs in the match.
Earlier, the title for the fastest century by a Pakistani batter was held by Babar Azam, who had reached the milestone in 49 balls. Ahmed Shehzad had completed the hundred in 58 balls.
Nawaz played an unbeaten innings of 105 runs, helping Pakistan outclass New Zealand by nine wickets in the third T20I of the five-match series at Eden Park, Auckland.
The Team Green got off to a strong start with openers Mohammad Haris and Nawaz building a strong opening partnership.
After Haris was dismissed for 41, Salman Ali Agha joined Nawaz and the duo splendidly achieved the mammoth target of 205 runs in 16 overs.
Earlier, Kiwis set a target of 205 with Mark Champan playing an innings of 94 runs by smashing 15 boundaries.
