CHRISTCHURCH (Dunya News) - Pakistan bowlers have bounced back in the death overs of the final match of the tri-series against New Zealand and restricted the hosts to 163-7 at Hagley Oval on Sunday.

Haris Rauf was excellenet with the ball as he conceded only 22 runs in his 4-over spell and only 4 in the last over while Naseem Shah did good in the penultimate over, conceding only 8 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field against the Kiwis.

Mohammad Nawaz s fireworks on Thursday left Bangladesh winless and ensured that Pakistan enter the final with confidence under their belt. Both teams have beaten each other once already, and both were one-sided games.

Pakistan s middle-order has been under the microscope. But Babar Azam said he was pleased it came to the party against Bangladesh. Or at least one batter from the middle-order did: Mohammad Nawaz.

Kane Williamson replaces Martin Guptill and Blair Tickner replaces Adam Milne for New Zealand. Haris Rauf comes in for Mohammad Hasnain for Pakistan.

Teams:

Pakistan: Babar Azam (C), Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Haider Ali, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf.

New Zealand: New Zealand: Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Kane Williamson (C), Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, James Neesham, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Blair Tickner, Ish Sodhi.
