KARACHI (Dunya News) – Four suspected terrorists were eliminated in an alleged encounter with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police in Shah Latif Town here on Monday.
Two policemen of the CTD also sustained injuries in the firing, who have been shifted to hospital.
The operation was conducted on information from under custody terrorists. The dead outlaws belonged Fitna al-Khawarij and Indian-sponsored proscribed organisation BLA. Their two to three accomplices escaped during the shootouts.
The alleged terrorists were hiding in an under-construction house, CTD sources said, adding when the police raided the house, the terrorists opened indiscriminate firing, which was retaliated in a befitting manner.
The injured terrorists succumbed to their wounds on way to hospital. Explosives, a Kalashnikov and other weapons were seized. CTD has launched an operation to arrest their fleeing accomplices.

The terrorists included Jalil alias Farid, Niaz alias King and Hamdan alias Farid, while the identity of one of the slain terrorists could not be ascertained.
They were preparing explosives in drums inside the house. The bomb disposal squad also recovered detonators, detonating wire and circuits from the house after searching.
According to CTD officials, the injured police personnel include Head Constable Muhammad Yousuf and Sepoy Raja Junaid, who are receiving medical attention in hospital.
CTD DIG Ghulam Azfar Mahesar and CTD SSP Irfan Bahadur said that the terrorists belonged to the Fitna al-Hindustan and Indian-backed Bashir Zeb network.
SHANGLA OPERATION
Three militants were killed while three police officials martyred in a targeted operation in Kabal Gram, Shangla district, by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), officials said.
According to CTD authorities, the slain terrorists were affiliated with the banned group Fitna al-Khawarij.
They were wanted in multiple serious cases, including attacks on foreign nationals. Their key commander, Noor Islam, also known as Salman, was among the militants killed.
The operation was conducted in coordination with local police and elite forces.
The militants had taken shelter in mountainous caves and opened fire as the forces approached, triggering a fierce exchange of gunfire.
The three officials who were martyred included constables Maqbool Ahmed, Fida Hussain and Saeedur Rehman.
Authorities confirmed that a clearance operation is ongoing in the area, with security measures significantly heightened to prevent further threats.
