Pakistan to participate in 2nd China International Import Expo
China has granted "Guest of honour" status to Pakistan to facilitate its business community.
(Web Desk) - Pakistan has formally been invited to participate in the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) which is scheduled to be held in early November in Shanghai.
According to sources, the import expo will provide an opportunity to Pakistani manufacturers and producers to display their products at the expo in a bid to enhance exports to China.
China has granted “Guest of honour” status to Pakistan to ensure provision of maximum possible benefits to the business community of Pakistan.
According to organisers, more than 500 companies from all over the world have confirmed their participation in the event.
Pakistan had also participated in the last year’s expo where many Pakistani companies showcased their products.
A total of 172 countries, regions and international organizations, and more than 3,600 enterprises participated in the first CIIE on November 5-10 in 2018.
It was the world’s first import-themed national-level expo.
