KARACHI (Dunya News) - A 70-year-old woman was found dead at her residence in Karachi’s Hussainabad area, with police saying she appeared to have been killed with a sharp-edged weapon.
According to police officials, the woman was found dead inside her flat in the Central district. She was reportedly living alone at the residence.
Police said the woman’s son-in-law reached the flat after she failed to respond to her daughter’s phone calls and discovered her body.
Authorities suspect that someone known to the victim may be involved in the killing, while further investigation is under way to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The woman’s body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities, police said.
Investigators are continuing efforts to identify the suspect.
