TAXILA (Web Desk) – A female TikToker was killed and her teenage sister critically wounded when a gunman opened fire on them in broad daylight on GT Road near the Taxila bypass, police said on Saturday.
According to police, the two sisters were travelling in a car when a man on a motorcycle, believed to be in his 30s, intercepted their vehicle near the bypass and opened fire.
Both women suffered gunshot wounds, after which the driver lost control of the car and it crashed into a dumper. The TikToker died at the scene, while her sister sustained critical injuries.
The deceased was taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Taxila, while the injured girl was later shifted to Islamabad for treatment.
Police said the victim, originally from Haripur, had been residing in a private housing society. Her brother nominated two suspects in the FIR, alleging that a financial dispute between the woman and the suspects was behind the shooting.
A case has been registered against the nominated suspects, and police have begun an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the killing.
