According to police, the girl was playing outside her house when a neighbor allegedly lured her over on the pretext of giving her some candy, and then allegedly took her to the rooftop of his house.
According to the FIR, when the girl cried out, the accused allegedly assaulted her. Hearing the noise, the accused fled the scene. The crying girl went home and told her mother about the incident.
Police took immediate action, registering a case and arresting the named accused. Police say the investigation is ongoing and legal action will proceed based on the evidence gathered.
