Anti-corruption officials take Mayo Hospital MS into custody

Punjab Anti-Corruption Department has taken Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Mudabbir Rehan into custody as part of an inquiry into alleged corruption.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Anti-Corruption Department has taken Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Mudabbir Rehan into custody as part of an ongoing inquiry into allegations of corruption at the hospital.

According to a spokesperson for the department, the action was initiated following a complaint submitted by Dr Ahmed Kamal.

Officials said the inquiry began after a video allegedly linked to corruption at Mayo Hospital surfaced. Authorities are examining the video's contents as part of the investigation.

The spokesperson stated that Dr Mudabbir Rehan had been summoned to appear before the investigation team but did not attend the inquiry. As a result, he was taken into custody for further legal proceedings.

The Anti-Corruption Department said the investigation remains underway and that additional action will depend on the evidence collected during the inquiry.

Authorities have not announced any formal charges or the outcome of the investigation. The allegations remain under investigation, and no court has determined criminal liability at this stage.
