(Web Desk) - Pakistani actress and model Mamya Shajaffar has revealed that she has been battling lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease, for the past year, describing the experience as one of the most difficult periods of her life.
Sharing her health journey on social media, Mamya said the past year had been filled with physical pain, lengthy medical treatment and emotional challenges.
She explained that living with a chronic illness like lupus is far from easy but said she has remained determined not to lose hope despite the difficulties.
The actress credited her husband for standing by her throughout her illness, saying his unwavering support and encouragement helped her cope during the toughest moments.
Mamya added that her condition has now improved and that she has resumed her professional work.
Reflecting on her experience, she said people often see those who appear strong on the outside but fail to recognise the daily struggles and pain they endure behind the scenes.
"I try to live life to the fullest every day while continuing my fight against this illness," she wrote.
