GUJRAT (Dunya News) – The Awam Express narrowly escaped a major disaster when one bogie to the train derailed in Rakh Pabbi area near Gujrat on Friday, Dunya News reported.
According to railway sources, the incident occurred at Rakh Pabbi where the last bogie of the Awam Express, traveling from Karachi to Peshawar, derailed. The train driver acted promptly and managed to keep the train under control, preventing a major accident. No life loss was reported in the incident.
Following the incident, railway officials immediately assessed the situation. The train was then allowed to continue its journey to its destination, while the derailed coach will be repaired before being sent onward.
Meanwhile, the railway authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
