ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Gold prices witnessed a significant increase in the international bullion market on Tuesday, rising by $28 per ounce to reach a new global level of $4,560 per ounce.
Following the global trend, local bullion markets also recorded a sharp rise on the second business day of the week, with the price of gold per tola increasing by Rs2,800 to reach Rs478,762.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold in the local market rose by Rs2,401, bringing it to Rs410,461.
Meanwhile, silver prices also increased in the international market, reaching $73 per ounce. In local markets, silver per tola rose by Rs260 to Rs7,784, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs223 to Rs6,673.
A day earlier, prices of gold and silver risen in both global and local markets, pushing the precious metals to new highs.
In Pakistan, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by PKR 3,900, reaching PKR 475,962 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by PKR 3,343 to reach PKR 408,060.
Silver prices also saw an upward trend, with 24-carat silver per tola increasing by PKR 70 to PKR 7,524.
In the international market, gold prices surged as well, with an increase of USD 39 per ounce, bringing the rate to USD 4,532 per ounce.
