NAUSHAHRO FEROZE (Dunya News) -  At least ten wagons of a freight train derailed near Mehrabpur in Sindh’s Naushahro Feroze district, disrupting railway operations on a key route.

According to railway police, the accident occurred at Deparja Phatak, where ten wagons went off the track and five overturned.

The freight train was en route from Karachi to Punjab at the time of the incident.

Authorities confirmed that both up and down tracks were affected, causing suspension of train movement in both directions.

Trains schedule affected as 13 coaches of freight train derail

A relief train has been dispatched from Rohri to assist in restoration work.

Railway officials stated that clearing the track may take between eight to ten hours, while passenger and freight trains have been halted at various stations.
