ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Sunday said that no space will be allowed for terrorist organizations to take root in the country, saying that the nation is united against them, and extremism and terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Hanif Abbasi visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic Hospital to inquire after the victims injured in Islamabad suicide bombing.
During the visit, the minister met the injured and prayed for their early and complete recovery. He expressed solidarity with the affected families and assured them of the government’s full support. Hanif Abbasi also offered prayers for those martyred in the blast.
The minister strongly condemned the terrorist attack and said that terrorism could never break the resolve of the nation. “Such cowardly acts cannot weaken our morale; rather, they further unite the nation,” he said, adding that terrorists would never succeed in their nefarious designs.
He emphasized that terrorists have no religion or nationality and that their actions are against the teachings of humanity and Islam.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani said that Pakistan wants peace saying that every state has the right to take measures for its protection.
He added that Pakistan is now taking strict measures against terrorist organizations. He said that more than twenty terrorist organizations are active in Afghanistan.
Bilal Azhar Kayani further stated that Afghanistan must take positive steps to eliminate terrorism, saying that terrorist organizations pose a threat not only to Pakistan but to the entire world.
