Nasir Hussain replaces Aleem Dar as PCB international panel umpire

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi appointed Nasir Hussain as an international panel umpire. The selection followed a transparent review process, also including Kamran Chaudhry as a match referee.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has appointed Nasir Hussain as a PCB international panel umpire.

The board has announced the updated composition of its International Match Officials panels following the retirement of Aleem Dar, former PCB and ICC international umpire and Muhammad Javed Malik, former PCB international match referee.

In order to fill the vacant positions, Naqvi had constituted an independent committee comprising members of senior management. The committee was tasked with conducting a comprehensive and transparent review process to identify suitable candidates for nomination to the PCB international panels.

The committee evaluated the performance, experience and credentials of all members of the national elite panel of umpires and the national elite panel of match referees. Equal opportunity was provided to all candidates through a structured and transparent selection process, which included interviews.

After detailed deliberations, the committee unanimously recommended Nasir Hussain for nomination as a PCB international panel umpire and Kamran Chaudhry for inclusion in the PCB international panel of match referees.

Later, the recommendations were approved by the PCB chairman.
