KARACHI (Dunya News) – Triple murder mystery has been solved after the arrest of the family head who revealed to police that he had poisoned his wife, daughter and daughter-in-law to death over a financial crisis, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.
Three women were found dead in a house in Gulshan Iqbal, Abid Town four days ago, leaving police on their toes to know the cause of the deaths, and spreading a panic in the area, with people urging police high-ups to resolve the murder mystery at the earliest.
According to police, the main suspect during interrogation admitted to killing the three women by giving them poisonous pills.
He also gave poisonous pills to his son, but he survived, and was admitted to hospital in a critical condition.
The suspect told police he himself attempted to commit suicide by consuming poisonous pills.
He said his son did real estate business, and faced loss in the business, which caused a heavy debt on him. He said he and his son had to pay Rs20million loan, revealing financial and domestic problems led him to take such an extreme step.
He told police he had himself took poisonous pills to end his life, but survived. Police said a letter has been found from the pocket of the family head, adding post-mortem report of dead bodies will ascertain the exact reason for the deaths.
The deceased women were identified as 52-year-old Samina, 22-year-old Maha, and 19-year-old Samreen. The man identified as 30-year-old Yasin was found in critical condition.
